Michael Ikoku Biography and Educational Background

Michael Ikoku was born on the 15th of January, 1968 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria to the family of Reuben Ikoku (a Headmaster in St. Paul’s Primary School Owerri) and Rhoda Ikoku (a petty trader). He is a native of Obinaocha village in Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State.

Ikoku had his primary education in 6 different southeastern schools, starting off at St. Paul’s Primary School Owerri, from which he moved to Township School Owerri, and then to Ihite Ogada Primary School, Logara Mbaise Primary School and Amakohia Ubi Primary School in 1979.

Upon obtaining his First School leaving Certificate, he enrolled at Holy Ghost College Owerri for his secondary education, later completing at Boys High School Nkwerre in 1984.

Evangelist Myke Ikoku holds a B.Sc in Sociology from the prestigious University of Lagos (UniLag). He also studied public administration at the chartered institute of local government and public administration of Nigeria.

Career

Michael Ikoku started his first company at the tender age of 21 which has today grown into a conglomerate of several companies, including; Whyte Petroleum Ltd., All Seasons Hotel Ltd., Myke Records Company, Obinaocha Industries Ltd, Obiron Investments Ltd., Obiron Group Ltd., NV Nite Club, Garment Plus Ltd. and Havana Hospitality  Services Ltd.

Evangelist Myke Ikoku is a former Chairman of the board of Tourism in Imo State, Nigeria. He is also a fellow of the National Institute of Local Government and Public Administration.

Personal Life

Michael Ikoku got married at 24 and had his first son, Obinna Ikoku Jr. at 25. Obinna recently graduated from Bradford University, England and is now part of his Yandi Nigeria LTD management team.

He is happily married with five children.
